ALLÉE BLEUE launches "Le Grand Hall"
Offering sophisticated country hospitality, Le Grand Hall has a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow for entertaining guests against the majestic backdrop of the Drakenstein mountain range. Verdant lawns and fragrant gardens make ideal private settings for outdoor ceremonies, al fresco drinks and memorable photographs. In the room, natural light floods through floor-to-ceiling doors while innovative lighting creates different moods by day and night. The sound technology throughout the venue is also cutting edge.
The challenge of creating an inviting atmosphere in such a vast space fell to artists and designers Emil and Gundel Sogor, the highly respected creative team responsible for shaping much of Allée Bleue's unique identity. Once again, the Sogors have brought their sophisticated aesthetic standard to every detail of the design. So much more than a blank canvas, the light, bright space is not unlike a modern art gallery with an elegant and distinctive decorative style defined by the Sogors' eye-catching, contemporary paintings arranged as a series of panels in reflection to the overall architectural concept.
Expertly designed to be stylish, comfortable and functional, the ballroom-style space has a dedicated, highly experienced, in-house event management team to create and choreograph every aspect of a function. From innovative menus using the best of the estate's fresh produce paired to award-winning estate wines to the dedicated service team smartly attired in Allée Bleue's signature blue, Le Grand Hall offers sophisticated refinement, generous hospitality and a comprehensive range of services. Along with personalised service comes the advantage of being on a farm - there are no cut-off times or music regulations, so guests can dance the night away.
A wedding or function at Le Grand Hall may be enhanced by wine tasting or a private tour of the estate's modern cellar. Stylish overnight accommodation is available in Kendall Cottage, a luxury retreat with two suites and a living room leading to a secluded terrace. Beautifully restored with the creative input of the Sogor's, the cottage will soon be complemented by further luxury accommodation in historic buildings currently under restoration.
