2001 marked the return of vineyards to ALLÉE BLEUE ESTATE after a 100-year hiatus, while distinction came in the following years with various international prizes and awards.
17.2 hectares of Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc have been planted, while new vines are being considered to extend the range.
The premier wines produced on the estate reflect something of the Dauphin's personal philosphy - a philosophy of living life to the full. Combining history and tradition with cutting-edge winemaking technology, the new owners have created a harmonious existence of old and new, in which even the most discerning expectations are exceeded.
The Dauphin's enthusiasm and commitment to their wine label is evidenced by their winemaking process and the building of a workable cellar with a total capacity of 300 tons. The process involves a team of experts carefully selecting quality fruits from the finest vineyards, these are then blended to perfection to produce superb wines intended for the connoisseur's palate. The first harvest will be received in 2006.
